The Melt – La Jolla
Cold. Rich. Creamy. Slowly melting. My mouth is full of vanilla flavor. Made extra thick this is one of the best vanilla shake’s I’ve had. They use ice cream from one of my fav ice cream shops. Fosselman’s. It’s awesome I don’t have to drive to LA for Fosselman’s ice cream anymore.

Greek Style Chicken – 1468 Graves Ave
Clouds float over the mountains in the distance. I gaze upon the unique shapes the nearby clouds make. This Greek Style Chicken has an awesome view. I visited the day before my birthday and the day before Maggie’s birthday. We joined the birthday club and within one day of your birthday you get 25% off plus a free sundae. 🙂

Shake Shack – UTC
My first Shack Burger was at the World Trade Center Shake Shack. It was tender, juicy, and full of beef and bacon flavor. One of the best burger’s I’ve had for under $10. I was excited to see Shake Shack open across the street.

Rock Bottom Brewery – La Jolla
I’m up with the sun. Been walking to the mall every week to prepare. It’s Black Friday and I gotta get the deals before they are snapped up. I didn’t plan on stopping by Rock Bottom but they have a $50 for a year of burgers deal I cannot resist. It’s gonna cost me less than $1/burger if I visit every week. 🙂 Place is a survivor. It’s been here before I moved to the neighborhood. There use to be an El Torito next door. I tried it a few times but preferred cheap taco shops. Burger with bacon, lettuce, onion strings. Beef had a nice beefy flavor and was…

Chicago Fire Grill
Thick beef patties were cooking on the flattop. One of those beauties was mine.

San Diego Air & Space Museum – Yelp’s Fright At The Museum
It’s my favorite time of the year. When I was a kid I loved seeing ghosts, ghouls, and witches. Now I look forward to seeing costumed Yelpers.

Farmer Boys / Breakfast Burgers & More
This is another joint post. Please be kind include both writers in your comments. Thanks. First portion written by Soo I remember the orange groves and the green leafy vegetables. When I was a kid we drove through Escondido to get to the Wild Animal Park. Out the car window fruits and veggies grew in perfect rows. It was peaceful and there were few people around. Visiting Farmer Boys for a late lunch I marveled at how busy the place was. The General Manager took my order. Found a nice comfy booth. Food was brought out very quickly. I started my meal with a vanilla shake made extra thick. It…

Johnny Rockets – UTC
UTC is a short walk to get a meal for me. UTC is an attractive dinner spot as traffic in this area is terrible at dinner time so I don’t like hopping in the car. I tend to alternate between Red Robin and Eureka Burger when I’m in the mood for a burger. I was interested when I noticed Johnny Rockets opened in the food court and they were advertising on groupon.
