Cafe 21 – University Heights

Many times I have tried the lemonade from soda fountains.  I never liked the Coke or Pepsi version.  They don’t taste like real lemon juice and there is no lemon pulp.  Cafe 21’s take on lemonade taste fresh squeezed.  They have down the lemon flavor and the bits of lemon pulp.  There is a little sweetness but not too much.  Very refreshing.

Chicken wings were tender, juicy, and had nice savory flavor.  These wings must have come from very small chickens and are definitely appetizer size.
Chips were fresh and crunchy.  Loved the fried potato flavor.
Grass fed beef burger was juicy and had full of beefy flavor.  Love that quality beef.  The flavor and texture is much better than places like Red Robin.
Beignets had a crunchy shell and fluffy inside.  Delicious flavor.
Staff was very nice and very efficient.  Management invited us to retry Cafe 21 after I let them know about our 2 hour experience last month.
We returned at 5pm Saturday just like last time but this time it wasn’t as busy and our 3 course meal took a bit over an hour which is a bit less time than we normally spend in comparable sit down restaurants.  We thoroughly enjoyed our experience this time and it looks like our last visit was just an aberration resultant from an overworked kitchen and wait staff.
Fancy drinks
