Pacific Catch

Most of the time I taste nothing.  This time I tasted a mild but sweet flavor.  A little like rainbow trout but much milder.  I was extremely happy I could taste the flavor of the cod at Pacific Catch.  Nice waitress told me they buy Alaskan cod that is sustainably caught.

I ordered the 4 piece fish and chips with sweet potato fries.  Loved the crunchy batter which added a delicious fried flavor to the cod.  Texture was flaky and delicate. My favorite fried cod in town.  Sweet potato fries were hot out of the fryer and crispy.  Delicious sweet potato flavor.

Complimentary soda water was refreshing and bubbly just the way I like it.  Slice of lemon gave it a nice lemon flavor.
2nd visit.  I tried the Korean ribs.  Tender with a sweet sticky sauce.  5 ribs for $15 this could have been a small lunch.  Pretty good dish.
I also tried the Wagyu burger.  Arugula and tomatoes gave the burger fresh flavors.  Fresh bun added a bit of sweetness.  Wagyu had a delicious beef flavor.  I loved the flavor of all the ingredients.  The only thing which held this burger back from being great is the beef was well done despite it being ordered medium.  My favorite burgers are cooked a bit less and dripping juices on me if I don’t have a big plate like at Balboa Bar and Grill.
The service here is exceptional.  Waitress made sure I had everything I needed and inquired about my meal.  I let here know about the dry burger and she gave me a coupon for a free appetizer on my next visit.  Other staff came by and checked on me as well.
I visited this space many times back when Sears was here.
I watched as Sears was knocked down and this new structure went up.  Now Pacific Catch is the first business to open.

I think of a star going supernova and forming a nebula and the nebula forming new stars.  Pacific Catch is so new and shiny with very friendly staff.  I’ll be back to try more of the menu.
