Hello! This is a joint post, first portion written by Maggie, enjoy! We parked in a 15 minute zone so we could walk up to the official booth to get our ticket. I’ve never been so this was exciting for me. Each participating restaurant offers one item from their menu to sample, a few offered two items. Del Mar Fair
Through the rabbit hole Caterpillar gives advice See the white rabbit. Breathe deep the delicious scents in the air. Smoky bbq is the strongest. I love the places that smoke/grill with wood. Then there are the fryer scents from Chicken Charlie’s and the fish and chip places. I love coming here each year to see the sights, smell the wonderful scents, and eat food I can’t get anywhere else. This year’s theme is Alice in Wonderland. Wonder what will be found through the rabbit hole…

The Harp
Harp is high above Melodies drift about me Summer approaches. When I was a kid I walked down these streets excited to see the famed Black where they sold the Anarchists Cookbook and other hard to find items. The Harp is pretty easy to spot as there is a big harp where normally you expect a neon sign.

Lil B’s 2611 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92104
The decor inside is truly a sight to behold. Could not stop looking up, down and all around. Makes me feel like I’m at a theme park. From our booth we had a nice view of the window plants and numerous flat screen televisions.

U31 3112 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92104
Stopped by for Burger Week and was not disappointed. Walking inside the stage for musicians is directly to the left, the bar is along the right wall and the pool tables are in the far back. They have a few u-shaped seating booths along the far left wall. Flat screen televisions are abundant.

Dark is the cold night Neon glow drives back the shadow Reminder of day. I love the bright colors pushing back the night. There use to be more neon signs. A few are saved like the Neon Majorette sign. http://www.sohosandiego.org/reflections/2001-3/baton.htm
