Well hello there! This is a joint post, first portion below is written by Maggie. Let me just start out by saying this location is just absolutely perfect! The ocean air, the sound of the surf, the iconic Hotel Del in the background, what more could you ask for? A large portion of their seating is outside with heaters that look like fancy lamps and a fireplace in case you get chilly. South San Francisco Airbnb
Driving north from Aptos, CA we stopped at New Kwong Kok for lunch. After getting gas at the nearby Costco I noticed a lady selling cherries on the sidewalk. Wish cherries grew in San Diego. After that it was a short drive to our South San Francisco Airbnb.

San Francisco Botanical Garden
San Francisco Botanical Garden is located in Golden Gate Park and nicely buffered from the noise of the city and the car fumes. The garden is divided into various zones. Temperate Asia, Garden of Fragrance, Rhododendron Garden, Mediterranean Garden, Ancient Plant Garden, Australia, Andean Cloud Forest, Chile, and many more. One of my favorite areas was the Redwood Grove. The ancient Coast Redwoods have been there for over 100 years.

Bubba’s Smokehouse BBQ
La Jolla is a long time favorite spot to take photos. La Jolla Cove is especially lovely at sunset. I just upgraded to the Iphone 11 and thought I’d try out the camera. I don’t visit downtown La Jolla often as the parking is limited. Luckily a co-worker drove.

Mmm… Crunchy batter. Hot and fresh. Juicy. Nicely marinated chicken. These are good wings. I chose the large which is enough for 2 meals for $17.99.
