The Melt – La Jolla
Cold. Rich. Creamy. Slowly melting. My mouth is full of vanilla flavor. Made extra thick this is one of the best vanilla shake’s I’ve had. They use ice cream from one of my fav ice cream shops. Fosselman’s. It’s awesome I don’t have to drive to LA for Fosselman’s ice cream anymore.

Del Mar Rendezvous
So many years I’ve eaten here. So many delicious dishes. These are the most recent. BBQ Pork ribs were tender with a flavor a bit like char sui. I liked the hint of sweetness with 5 spice powder flavor.

Texas BBQ House
Smell of oak wood smoke fills Texas BBQ House. I love the sweet aroma and the nice staff. This is the friendliest bbq I’ve been to in Arizona. While waiting at the counter to order the helpful cashier offers me a piece of beef brisket to help me decide what to get. It was melt in your mouth tender and full of smoky flavor.

Would have loved to stay longer or come back a second day during our visit. So much to do with such little time.

Blue Bell Ice Cream
I remember that first time at Flemings. Color was white with a hint of yellow. Cold and creamy with a strong french vanilla flavor. So rich and full of flavor. I tried to get Flemings to sell me an industrial size container but they never came through. I tried lots of supermarket ice creams but didn’t find a vanilla this good.

Desert Botanical Garden Part one of two
The butterfly exhibit was open on our second visit in March. Too many butterflies to count! They flocked around the misters, landed on the flowers, foliage, people and netting. If you stay still enough they will come visit, perhaps on your shoulder or hat.
