Montem sent me trekking poles to test.
They are lightweight aluminum and precision made. In my hands they are an extension of my body. Like the Wustof knives in my kitchen I feel the balance of a finely made implement. Weight is mostly in the handle making it easy to wield. Handle is cushioned yet you can still feel the sturdyness of the poles. Height is easily adjusted with the quick locking mechanism.
In the past I’ve used walking sticks that were actual sticks. These Montem poles are much more advanced in terms of sturdiness, comfort and weight. They can help get you to those places past where the road ends.
On my recent trip to Pinetop Arizona I enjoyed testing Montem’s trekking poles.
Out in the woods with the song of the wind blowing through Ponderosa pine trees. Sound was beautiful and the scent of the pines was relaxing.
