AJ Spurs – Buellton
Visiting AJ Spurs is like visiting the old west.

Bulls Smokin’ BBQ
Spaghetti Western Saloon door entrance for Bulls Thunder but no smoke. What I miss about bbq joints in the city is the aroma of smoke. Driving up the bull and the sign outside was how I found this place.

International Smoke
International Smoke is dedicated to cooking with fire and smoke. I breathe deep the scent of smoke as I walked towards the bar.

Aptos St. BBQ
I had a good feeling about Aptos St BBQ as I drove up I noticed 2 smokers by the side of the building and a big pile of white oak.

Union BBQ
This neighborhood was where I was introduced to hickory smoked bbq. Jim’s Hickory Wood Bbq had delicious ribs and cinnamon ice cream. Jim’s is long gone but now Union Bbq has opened.

The Bear Pit Bar-B-Que
I was intrigued when I saw the sign advertising Missouri style bbq. Outside this place had the look of a classic eatery. Inside it looked like a historic house with a cute bear motiff.

Central Coast Meat Market
I have always wanted to visit Pismo Beach but haven’t had the chance till now. My Yelp friend Paul M. suggested I visit Central Coast Meat Market knowing my love of bbq. I visited at the end of October and Pismo beach was nice with the temps in the mid 70’s. There was a good number of parking spots and a quiet laid back beach town vibe.
