North Shore Plate Lunch
On our way home from Las Vegas we got hungry as we were nearing Norco. I noticed North Shore Plate Lunch was nearby and we stopped to try it.

Island Style Cafe
I remember the summer trips to Hawaii. Lovely clear skies and white sand beaches. Hawaiian plate lunches and shaved ice for dessert closed out many wonderful days. San Diego has a good number of spots to get a plate lunch and shaved ice. Island Style Cafe is one of my favorite.

Fluffy. Cold. Sweet Tiger’s Blood which is not as famous as it’s better known name Hawaiian Punch. Huge bowl of shaved ice is enough for 2 people. This is one of my fav spots to get shaved ice in San Diego. I love the fluffy ice and the syrup has delicious flavors in addition to the sweetness. Hawaiian music in the background and the bold flavored food here make my think back on my trips to Hawaii. Those were some of the best times of my life. Mark’s Bark
I visit Mark’s Bark in the off season. During football season I stay home and pray to the football gods. Wish Mark was open days other than Sunday. If not for the bbq signs it’s hard to tell what is inside. The building is nondescript. Inside you can tell it use to be a bar.

Hard Rock Cafe – San Diego
Each Hard Rock Cafe is like a rock and roll museum. I like to visit when it’s not busy so I can see the memorabilia on the walls. There is a Chris Cornell guitar and a motorcycle in this one. Lovely stained glass windows line part of the roof. I joined the birthday club and they entice me here with deals a few times a year. They advertised they smoke their meats in hickory wood since my last review so I tried the bbq again.
