I love Cantonese style roast duck and was excited to see a place in Poway specializing in duck. As you walk in you are greeted by freshly roasted ducks hanging in the window.
I remember eating dinner in San Francisco’s Chinatown and a tourist family scurried off in terror at the grotesque sight of ducks hanging in the window.
I ordered half a duck for $19.99. They sell alot of duck here so the duck here is very fresh. I was impressed by how tender and juicy this duck was. Some parts had very crispy skin and others not that crisp. Good amount of 5-spice powder flavor. Very good tasting duck. Noble Chef still is my favorite spot in town to get duck as their duck has flavor bursting out of every pore.

The salmon with noodles I ordered tasted a bit off. Don’t think I’d be visiting again. I agree the duck is pricey here.
Your salmon had too much soy sauce.
Sounds like higher prices for an inferior product. Even if I lived nearby I’d drive to Convoy for a better value.
I expect they will have to lower their prices if they are going to survive.
$20 for a half duck. Yikes. I was going to ask how much duck costs at Noble or Sam Woo now. I think it’s fun to see they have a duck burrito on the menu though! Didn’t know about this place so this post is helpful 🙂
2 days ago Jasmine was selling a whole duck for $27. You should give Crazy Duck a try. They are really fresh.
