Grand Canyon National Park
There is a sense of age here. Rocks at the bottom are 2000 million years old while the top layer is only 270 million years old. Different layers of the canyon reflect different colors. The effect is lovely.

Muir Woods
The woods are lovely dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. I like to sit along the hiking trails away from the passes and listen to the sound of running water and the wind blowing through the leaves. The oldest trees are over a thousand years old. Kilauea Lighthouse – Kauai
Desolate. Beautiful. Awe before the vastness of nature. These are my feelings when I view lighthouses. Kilauea Lighthouse does not disappoint. You can see the ocean cliffs of a dormant volcano. Tiny white dots decorate the grassy slopes. Closer inspection reveals them to be birds.

The Green Pig – Kauai
Hawaii is my fav spot to eat at food trucks. The views are spectacular as you can see for miles through the pollution free air. Locations tend to be rural and there are natural sights to enjoy while eating. Also there tend to be chickens waiting to eat the food you don’t want to. I was excited seeing the cute Green Pig food truck. I noticed chickens and cats make their home here. They come by looking for handouts when your order arrives. My plate lunch came with bbq pulled pork and pork belly. I accidentally ordered additional rice which the chickens and cats happily devoured. The pulled pork…

Anini Beach Park
Floating in the warm water. So relaxing. Sky is so clear. Blue of the sky is so rich and the fluffy white clouds have so much definition. I’m sad California air is so polluted a orange haze hides everything. Below are a good variety of iPhone sized fish. They like hiding in the coral and around rocks. The snorkeling is good here.
