Bali Hai

I was excited to be invited to a Christmas lunch at Bali Hai.  I rarely go to fancy spots with a view.  Loved the island theme here.  There is a guy on the roof.

I started with a virgin pina colada.  Very tasty pineapple and coconut flavor.  I liked the very fine ice which was similar to what you find in smoothies.
I picked the island beef skewers as my appetizer.  Very tender beef and well marinated with sauce kinda like soy/teriyaki sauce.  Very generous portion size.  This could have been a small meal.

I chose the cubano as my lunch entree.  Ciabatta bread was toasted and I liked the crunchy outside and mild flavor.  Kalua pork was tender and I liked the slightly smoky and salty flavor.  Char sir pork was tender and the flavor ok.  Overall the cubano was good.

French fries were crispy and had some kind of coating which gave these fries an amazing flavor.

Service was good but the server was overworked so he was not able to come by that often.  View of the bay was amazing.  Glad I got a chance to try this place.  Next time I’d like to try the dinner menu.

  1. Great pictures! Glad you enjoyed your lunch with us!

    1. Thanks! It’s a good spot!

  2. The riff on the cubano sounds mighty tasty – I think I’d enjoy the shredded pork so I’ll have to try that some time.

  3. The cubano was interesting. I would have liked it more if they had Chinese style char siu like Noble Chef makes.
