Hard Rock Cafe – San Diego
Each Hard Rock Cafe is like a rock and roll museum. I like to visit when it’s not busy so I can see the memorabilia on the walls. There is a Chris Cornell guitar and a motorcycle in this one. Lovely stained glass windows line part of the roof. I joined the birthday club and they entice me here with deals a few times a year. They advertised they smoke their meats in hickory wood since my last review so I tried the bbq again.

Jack In the Box – Convoy St
I couldn’t sleep. I needed a hot apple turnover. I needed delicious fried pastry and apple filling flavor. In the old days I could go to Jack In The Box to satisfy my craving for a hot apple turnover. Now I have to go to Izzy’s Cafe. I still visit Jack on my birthday to get my free tacos on my birthday or if there is some other free food promotion.

Bushfire Kitchen – Del Mar
I have been in this parking lot before. Back when the world was younger and more innocent hot air balloons filled the sky. I followed them on my bike as they liked to land at my high school. When I grew up I wanted to ride in one and look from on high as some kid tried to follow on a bike. My dream came true and this parking lot was where they picked us up in a van and we were driving to our hot air balloon.

Golden House Chinese Restaurant
Love the first paragraph you read as you enter the Golden House website, as every word of it is spot on.

LouZiana Food
Driving through the night. Road was deserted. I use to either stop at Roberto’s, Denny’s, or KFC. These places and a few other fast food joints were the only options back in my college days. Now there are so many choices. I noticed on This Tasty Life blog that LouZiana Food had opened. I made a note to visit as I love Louisiana style food. As an added incentive they offer $10 off a $20 purchase if you join their birthday club and visit for your birthday. 🙂

Mr. Fish & Chips
I’ve been here at least a half dozen times or so and I’ll have to say the owner is always there working hard, is genuinely friendly with everyone, knows his customers by name and makes you feel very welcome indeed. Because of this I always look forward to my visits.
