    Henry’s Hunan

    August 11, 2016 /

My first visit to San Francisco with Mari we found the most delicious fried rice ever at Chef Jia’s.  The flavors from the wok, the seasonings, and the meats were divine.  After they closed we have tried the fried rice at many places but none have been as good.  Seeing as Chef Jia’s was a Hunan restaurant I had high hopes for Henry’s Hunan.

The Tiki torches, the white linen table cloth, the card and flowers on the table, the smiling hostess, the gregarious waiter all made me feel welcome, just like in Hawaii. :>) Think I hear a waterfall in the background.

    Sally’s Seafood On The Water

Queen: Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all? Magic Mirror: Lips red as the rose. Hair black as ebony. Skin white as snow. Snow White “Skin white as snow.”  She is a beauty.  I dream of her in the long hot nights of summer.  How I long to touch my tongue to her delicate skin.  Soft as a rose petal. We have a rendezvous once a year at comic con.  After long hours of walking the convention hall I look forward to the cool refreshing filtered water here.

When the first Rubio’s in our neighborhood opened in 1980 something, I remember thinking fish taco’s? How weird is that? Then I tried my first fish taco and have been in love ever since.

She was soft and sweet.  Fell apart in my mouth.  Tasted raisins and oats.  Gooey freshness.  One of the best oatmeal raisin cookies I’ve had.

    Monumental Workx

    August 1, 2016 /

Driving in summer hot sun burns my arms.  Fortunately there is a technological solution.  Window tint.  When I got my Civic back in 2006 the darker the tint the cooler the interior would be so I got dyed 3M limo tint in the back which let in about 5% of visible light.  For the front I applied 65% tint which wouldn’t attract ticket givers. 2016.  Tint technology has advanced.  Now the state of the art window tint is made with nanotechnology to reflect more heat.  3M Crystalline and Spectra Photosync are the best heat reflecting tints you can buy.
