Mien Trung Restaurant

Mien Trung is on the same block as Rose Donuts and Homestyle Hawaiian.  Lots of good eats in the area.

There is free parking behind Mien Trung and currently you can dine in or eat on the patio.

 

I visited to try the fried chicken wings.

$13 for a big plate of wings.  Turned out to be 2 meals worth.  Wings had a crunchy batter and a delicious fried flavor.  Slight sweetness.  There was one thing I didn’t like.  A bunch of the wings had a cut in them.  I suspect it was done to check if the wings were ready.  It would have been better to use a thermometer and a timer.  Cutting into them dried that area.  2/3 of the wings were moist and were delicious.  1/3 of the wings had dry parts from a cut diminishing an otherwise delicious wing.

Guy who cooked my wings and took my order was nice and quick.  Vietnamese style fried chicken wings are very tasty and Mien Trung is going in my rotation of places to get fried chicken wings.

Kirk of mmm-yoso!!! has eaten here too.
