San Tung is located in the Inner Sunset district. I remember visiting my aunt who lived on the other side of Golden Gate Park starting when I was around 4. I like how this area fairly quiet and not too far from the ocean. During my early visits I loved how the fog rolled in from the ocean and covered the city.
San Tung’s chicken wings are legendary and I came to try them.
Golden wings were covered in a sticky sauce with a bit of sweetness and a bit of spiciness. Delicious mix of flavors from the batter, the sauce, and the chicken wings. Chicken was tender and juicy. These are the best wings I’ve found in San Francisco.
Cherry pork sounded interesting as I’m a huge cherry fan. Sadly the fried pork had a lot of fat chewy parts. This dish is prepared much like orange chicken but there is a lite cherry flavor instead of an orange flavor. I loved the parts that weren’t fat and chewy.
