Anthony’s Fish Grotto
Roy Batty: I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time… like tears in rain… Time to die. Blade runner Orange glow of the sun fading into embers till night falls across the bay. Whale watching boats motoring out to sea. Raindrops falling down in sheets into glassy water. All these moments and more I will take with me. I will miss this place when Anthony’s lease expires in 2017.

Coop’s West Texas BBQ
Driving past lemon Smoke rise into deep blue sky Left for bbq, right chicken. Lemon Grove. I rarely visited till Coops opened. Now I make the trek whenever I crave Texas bbq. I try to resist but I can’t for long. Haunted by the smoky scent of meat and slowly burning wood. Then images of tender meat with a glistening bark and the beautiful smoke ring appear and there will be no sleep.

OB Noodle House Bar 1502
Sun shines down on us On the hot pier my eyes close Dream of pan fried smelt. When I think of Ocean Beach I think of all those long days fishing off the pier. My mom, brother, and me would stake out a spot and try to catch our dinner. Those were good times when we caught smelt or bass. What I knew I could always look forward to were the french fries at the cafe near the end of the pier. Those crunchy salty snacks gave me strength to fish till dinner time.
