The Blue Coffee Pot

While on vacation at Monument Valley I have been in search of Indian fry bread.  The Blue Coffee Pot was my last chance for awesome Indian fry bread as we were on our way to Las Vegas.  From the outside it appears The Blue Coffee Pot is in need of a fresh paint job.  Inside it was nice.  We visited during the lunch rush and service was slow.

I ordered the steak and shrimp skewers with Indian fry bread.  The fry bread was warm and with fresh fried aroma.  Layers of light and soft fried dough melted in my mouth.  Loved the light flavor.  Best Indian fry bread I had on our Monument Valley trip.
Now to the skewer.  Fried shrimp had a nice snap and flavor.  Steak I asked to be cooked medium and was more medium well to well done so parts were tender and some were a bit dry.  I enjoyed the flavor of the marinated beef.  Loved the flavor of the carrots and yellow squash.  Very good tasting dish.
Chicken noodle soup was mostly noodles.  I didn’t care for the noodles which had a starchy flavor and were close to disintegrating.  Broth was very mild with just a salty flavor.  I would not order this dish again.
