The Craft Creamery

I returned to Craft Creamery hoping to get more of the lemon marshmallow ice cream I picked up my first visit but it was not to be.

There was a brand new batch of flavors I had to choose from.

Birthday cake pint full of air pockets.
Birthday cake starts with creamy ice cream and bits of cake topping are added making this an extremely sweet ice cream.  Good in small quantities.  I wouldn’t eat more than a scoop at once.
Rainbow sherbet was a delicious mix of flavors.  Orange full of sweet orange flavor.  Raspberry vivid tart flavor.  Lime delicious sour lime flavor.
Mango sorbet was icy with delicious mango flavor.

Service was friendly but the scooping was among the worst I’ve seen.  I ordered pints but each pint only contained about 3 scoops.  Normally scoopers pack the ice cream into the container so it’s completely filled with ice cream.  These pints consisted of about 20 percent or more air.  As I was leaving the pints felt lighter than normal.  This is why I prefer shops like Niederfrank’s where they sell pre-packs and your fate isn’t left in the hands of the scooper.
Pint from An’s Dry Cleaning properly scooped.

  1. Wow they need to train their staff on how to pack pints better. That’s good you found more flavors you like!

  2. Those are the smallest pints I’ve ever gotten anywhere.

  3. Yeah that sort of thing is one of my pet peeves – it’s the financial equivalent of not getting what you pay for. I wouldn’t be surprised if the management tells them to do that to save on costs (sort of like in coffee/tea shops where the baristas are trained to add a lot of ice to save on the actual volume of the drink).

    1. That’s sneaky! My first visit my pints were properly scooped.
