Calozzi’s Cheesesteaks

Pacific Beach is a pleasure to visit in the winter.

You can easily find parking and long lines for food are months away.  I parked in front of Calozzi’s and I ordered the pepper steak with just steak and peppers.

Al Calozzi cooking my cheesesteak.

While I waited for my order I watched as my cheesesteak cooked.

Steak had delicious flavor and peppers gave it a nice added flavor.  Bun was fresh and had a mild flavor.

I liked how this cheesesteak was stuffed full of meat.  I have a bad bacon addiction and would have loved to add some bacon to this cheesesteak.  While I was enjoying my sandwich I also enjoyed the quiet small town vibe right outside.  It’s quite different in the summer when Pacific Beach is full of tourists.   I’m guessing the line at Calozzi’s gets long as they give you alot of good tasting meat.

Kirk from mmm-yoso visited too.
