Rose Parade Post Parade: A Showcase of Floats, Tournament of Roses, Chapter four out of six
Teams of horses participate in the Rose Parade each year. I never get tired of their stunning beauty, elaborate costumes and excellent horsemanship showcased by each rider. Bummer you can’t visit them too after the parade, just like the floats.

Yelp Elite Event: Lemonade Hillcrest
My first attempt at making lemonade I grabbed some lemons off a neighbors tree. I squeezed the lemons, added, water, and sugar. The concoction was awful. Either too tart, too watery, or too sweet. This 6 year old decided it was better to leave lemonade to the experts. I was excited Yelp was holding an event at Lemonade. I use to get good lemonade at Hot Dog on a Stick but that place left UTC years ago.

Leeza Gibbons is my favorite Rose Parade commentator by far. There are a few close seconds, but I just really enjoy hearing her voice and seeing her enthusiasm during the broadcast each year on New Year’s day.

Denny’s – San Clemente
Becoming who we are As my memory rests But never forgets what I lost Wake Me Up When September Ends – Green Day So many years have rolled by. I spent my Sunday evenings here. This was the drop off spot for my kid. Her mom or stepdad would pick her up. In the early days we played frisbee in the parking lot while we waited. Later we did stuff on our phones. Scanning the parking lot I noticed other parents doing the same thing. It’s a good halfway point when one parent lives in LA and the other in San Diego.
