Bobboi Natural Gelato
She was dark as night. I walk in shadow and could not resist the attraction. Even in the light of day she appeared grey to me. Her scent reminded me of bbq. I drew her close and I enveloped her in my lips. She was cold. My tongue flickered across her slim body and I tasted refreshing vanilla. After a timeless time she disappeared. I grew up in old apartments. The first was a studio on E ST the 4 of us squeezed into. Each day before sunrise one of my parents would carry me to the Chinese laundry down the street where my crib was. Stairway was dark and dingy. Paint was peeling on the outside.

Leichtag Family Healing Garden Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego
This special garden is nestled in between Rady Hospital, Rady Speciality Clinics building and the parking lots. It is a welcome reprieve from necessary doctoring and I’m sure it’s appreciated by the staff and family members too.

Streetcar Merchants of Fried Chicken, Doughnuts & Coffee – La Jolla
Hot. Burning. Tongue on fire. Face and chest sweating in below 70F weather. I do my best to avoid spicy food but this innocuous looking chicken pot pie did me in. Lucky I had some emergency candy on my desk to save myself. There was a lot to like about this pie. Crust was crunchy and had a nice light buttery flavor. Roasted free range chicken was tender and had savory flavors I really liked. I noticed white and dark meat. Carrots were tender and delicious. Gravy was plentiful but tasted spicier than I prefer. The other thing I didn’t like was the cartilage and bones attached to the chicken. …

Primitive Smoke BBQ
A lot of times I go to a bbq I don’t care for the sauce. Sauce is usually sweet, hot, or tangy. This place is different. Sauce here is one of the best I’ve found in San Diego. Just the right amount of sweetness blended with other flavors I liked but not sure what they are. I tried asking but the secrets of the recipe are locked away like KFC’s chicken recipe. I ordered the caveman sampler which gives you a small portion of every meat.

Crown Books @ Horton Plaza
Years ago, Crown Book stores used to be everywhere. My curiosity was peeked so I took a look inside. The selection is varied and vast. However I failed to find any ‘hot off the press’ or recent published books, hmm. Prices were competitive with what you’d find on Amazon.
