San Diego Zoo 100th Birthday
Four generations of our family have been visiting the San Diego Zoo for loads of adventure, excitement and informative animal exhibits. Over the years it’s been a pleasure to watch the enclosures move, expand or grow larger, especially for the elephants. Years ago, I was so glad to see them get the extra room they so sorely lacked for so long. Now they can walk around and play!

I love Cuban food, so when we decided to go here I was excited to try out their dishes. Met the owner, Sandra Cardet on my first visit. She was busily tending to all of her customers, happily going from table to table.

24 Hour Dog Daycare San Diego, CA
When I first started taking my chocolate lab here they were located next to the Arco station off Miramar Rd. Recently they changed to a larger location also off Miramar road close to the huge Ashley furniture building, the driveway next to it. Note, when you pull in the drive way there are no signs. Once turned in the sign is posted on the far side of the building way down the drive way. So if you don’t see that sign you’ve turned in the wrong driveway, which I’ve done a few times.

Pamplemousse Grille
Dark. Earthy. Soft small pieces were hidden in the darkness. Spread on a ribeye steak the additional flavors made for one of the best steaks I’ve had. I became addicted to ribeye steaks with wild mushroom sauce on a trip to Portland a decade ago. Portland was a bit far to go for steak so began my search for steak with mushroom sauce locally. That search led me to Pamplemousse Grille.
