Point Loma Seafoods

2805 Emerson Street San Diego, CA 92106

View from my table

Opened in 1963 by the Christianson family. Specializing in selling fresh fish, fish processing for the sport fisherman and serving a quality menu.

Their menu includes; cold sandwiches, sushi rolls, fish tacos, fried entrees, sashimi, salads, seafood cocktails, soup, wine and beer (bottled and on tap).

My favorite entree is Mrs. Kelly’s crab cakes along with Mrs. Kelly’s tartar sauce. Something about the crunchy, creamy delectable taste and texture is just magnificent. Lately a beer on tap sounds good. Moose Drool is dark and delicious.

Service is quick & efficient. It’s a walk up counter, you order, get a number, number gets called then you find yourself a table. Upstairs level has an excellent view of the marina and surrounding area.

  1. That’s good you found a drink you love and crab cakes!

  2. Yes, I remember when the building was smaller and covered in shingles.

  3. We really like PLSF-it’s a regular stop. The fish and chips as well as a piece or two of smoked fish is always ordered along with ‘something else’. We’ve been going here since 1986 or so…and seen the various (re)constructions of the building.

  4. I’m glad to hear you all like this place so much. I missed it when I lived in a different state and just could not find anything that compared well.
