Normally I wash my car by hand. I noticed Soapy Joe’s was having a Yelp event so I signed up. There was no line when I visited at 1pm. Friendly employee assisted me when I couldn’t get the Yelp barcode to scan.
Took maybe 2 minutes to wash and dry the car.
When I parked at the vacuum area I checked out my car.
It was about 98% clean.
The back had some water residue and the bumper and hood still had some bug guts. I was impressed by how powerful the vacuum was. It sucked up a bunch of dog hair my Dyson couldn’t.
Soapy Joes was modern, clean, and easy to use.

Very cool deal! There are several Soapy Joe’s around my area and yeah the quality isn’t the best (though my car is white, so the little spots probably show up more than they would on a dark car) but for the price and convenience I’ll stop by from time to time.
Have you found better car washes in town? That’s cool you have tried Soapy Joe’s too.
No just Soapy Joe’s as far as what I’m familiar with. There are some cheaper options particularly in National City but I’ve heard horror stories about mirrors being ripped off of cars and scratches on paint from the equipment.
