Matcha Cafe Maiko
I love going to Yelp events as I get to try places that are not on my radar. I’ve never visited a matcha cafe before so I rsvp’d to visit Matcha Cafe Maiko.
Lots of matcha choices here. I noticed they have soft serve so that made it easy.
I picked half vanilla and half matcha soft serve in a waffle cone. Cone was crunchy and had a fresh flavor with a hint of sweetness. Soft serve was cold and creamy with microscopic pieces of ice. I enjoyed the mix of sweet vanilla with the earthy matcha flavor from the soft serve. Great tasting treat to cool me down as summer has arrived.
Young lady in charge was friendly and very helpful, answering all our questions. Nice spot with AC to enjoy your selection out of the heat. Thanks to Matcha Cafe Maiko for the invite to sample your treats and thanks to Yelp CM Anne for this cool event.

I like to take photos of beautiful things like rain falling into puddles. Photos were mostly taken on a Fuji XE-2. Starting 9.9.2016 most photos are taken on a Fuji XT-2. Subsequent photos were taken with an Iphone 13 Pro and an Iphone 15 Pro Max.

This is a great time of year to sample some soft serve. Matcha is an earthy flavor that I enjoy, but I don’t drink it often due to the caffeine!

We got the shaved ice -it includes soft serve- and it was really good. I do like the flavor of matcha and to have it here -even hot tea, done properly- seems so ‘fancy’.
