Goulding’s Museum & Trading Post

1000 Gouldings Trading Post Road. Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah 84536

Opening in 1989 each room in the house is dedicated to a different theme, culture or persons.

Navajo woven rug

Situated at the end of the road amid the lodge, restaurant and gift shop, this little gem is deceiving from the outside as it looks quite small. However once you enter you’ll find a plethora of beautifully preserved memorabilia and artifacts. Including photographs, furniture, movies, Navajo history and jewelry.

Engulfed in reading fascinating facts and viewing equally beautiful items time passed rather quickly. We spent most of the afternoon here after eating at the lodge restaurant next door.

I highly recommend this place to anyone passing by or vacationing in the area. Truly a treasure meant for generations to come. Admittance is free however a donation is appreciated.
