The Trails Eatery

It was a lovely drive to the top of the mountain.  I liked seeing how small everything below looked.  Almost like flying.  I’ve never been to this part of town but have been meaning to visit.  I saw The Trails Eatery on Restaurant Impossible and loved what I saw.  Lucky me a few days earlier I got off the waitlist for a Yelp event here.

The Trails Eatery closes at 2pm and the event was at 6pm so we had the whole place to ourselves.  This is my first in person event since the apocalypse and it was nice socializing with old friends and new.
We were given samples from the breakfast menu.

I loved the mild sweet flavor of the brioche bun and the chickpea quinoa veggie patty from the Hippie Burger.
Bene Asada featured carne asada from Valley Farm Market which has delicious meat.  Carne asada was tender and moist with a rich beef flavor complimented by a grilled English muffin and poached eggs.
Healthy Hash featured chorizo and amazing organic eggs.
Lemon Berry Frenchie closed out our feast.  Sourdough French toast lemon curd, lavender whipped cream, and fresh berries combined into a sweet and fruity carnival in my mouth.

I tend to make simple breakfast at home such as bacon and eggs or sausage and eggs.  The Trails Eatery elevated breakfast dishes are quite different and bursting with flavors.  They start with high quality ingredients and combine them in interesting combinations.
Was cool seeing the owner Stacy in person and meeting the new Yelp CM Anne.  Restaurant Impossible did a great job decorating this place.
Cathy from mmm-yoso!!! has visited too.

  1. Everything on the menu sounds amazing! Just love it when the chef is unafraid to be inventive with ingredients. Fortune favors the bold.

  3. We’ve been here so many times-Before and After Restaurant Impossible, but only once during Covid-19. Thanks for the reminder to return. This is a great neighborhood place and it’s good to see it is still thriving.
