I’ve been looking forward to Song Hak since this is my first visit. My only other experience with food being cooked on your table is at Benihana.

They are located next to the Steamy Piggy, seen from Convoy Street. They do have a parking lot but it’s shared with a few other businesses.

I ordered the black bean paste noodle dish, that included beef and onions. I found myself unprepared for just how much my taste buds delighted in this dish! I tried hard not to slurp my noodles or eat too fast. I ended up bringing some home so when nobody is looking I’ll lick my plate clean. Definitely will be back for more.

The generous portion of thick cut pork belly was brought to our table and put on the gas burner. It was fun watching it cook. The small side bowls meant for dipping, of salt and vinegar combination really added an additional flavor to the pork. The side salad dishes of marinated onions & bean sprouts were delicious. I found myself layering each bite of pork with my salad.

The waitress was very nice and managed to help all the other tables by herself, making it look effortless.

A heartfelt thank you to Song Hak and our Yelp community Manager Hannah N.

  1. That pork belly was delicious!

    1. That’s great you enjoyed the pork belly.

  2. What Song Hak does really well is gopchang….intestines. It’s quite good. Also at the end of the meal you have the option of making Kimchi Fried Rice with all the good drippings.

    1. I’ll have to try the gopchang on my next visit, never tried it before. What other dishes do you like here?

  3. You have their address as 4861 Convoy, but it is 4681 Convoy. So the staff at Song Hak cooks the meat for you?

    1. It depends on what your order as some dishes are prepared in the kitchen. The pork belly we had was brought out and put on the gas burner by the waitress. But we had to watch it, turn it over and ultimately remove it. Thanks for the heads up on the address.
