Father’s Day with gelatolove

It’s almost Father’s Day and I was looking for something to treat myself.  My kid is in Canada so I don’t expect anything from my first born.  I was excited to see gelatolove offered free delivery with the purchase of 4 pints.  What could be better than gelato on my doorstep?  I picked out 4 pints on their website and a few days later an email notification was sent out stating I would be texted when my gelato would be on my doorstep.  My door bell rang around 6pm and I saw a friendly fellow running off and waving.  On my doorstep was a freezer bag with my 4 pint and an ice pack.  Pints felt solid just the way I like it.  Freezer bag wasn’t that thick so you wouldn’t want to leave the gelato on your porch all day.  I have been working from home during the apocalypse so I could stay home and take my delivery right to the freezer.  I suspect the delivery person has a huge Yeti cooler in his trunk to keep all his gelato frozen.

I’ve kept ice cream frozen for 10 hours in mine.

Mango limeade a sweet and tangy mango flavor with a hint of lime.  I enjoyed the fruity flavors and icy texture.
Tahitian vanilla bean was creamy with a strong French vanilla flavor.  Great choice for egg lovers.
Amarena cherry vanilla was creamy with sweet cherry and vanilla flavor.  Love it!  My favorite flavor from GelatoLove.
2nd order.
Cookies and cream was quite different.  Normally I expect vanilla ice cream with cookie pieces.  What I got was something thoroughly blended.  Flavor was mild cookie flavored.  I prefer the traditional style cookies and cream.
Chocolate chip was a mix of creamy vanilla with bursts of chocolate flavor.  One of my favorite chocolate chip gelato.
Carlsbad Strawberry sorbet was icy with sweet strawberry flavor.  Lots of strawberry bits.
Mint leaves chocolate chip flavor was just like eating a piece of the mint herb.  Not at all like the flavor I’ve tasted in ice cream.
Gelato kept fresh with wax paper.

I’m looking forward to eating my delicious gelatolove gelato for Father’s Day.  Delivery was a success for me.  Gelato was nicely packaged to keep it frozen solid and each pint was sealed with wax paper so odors in the freezer won’t degrade the gelato.  Flavors I tried were each unique in some way.
Note they use allulose instead of cane sugar resulting in the gelato having lower lower calories and carbs per serving.
