Exploring Solvang I was surprised to find an Irish Pub.
One of the best chicken pot pies I’ve ever eaten was made by an Irish Pub in Palm Springs so I had high hopes for Fitzpatrick’s Tavern. Our waiter/bartender was very friendly and helpful.
Chicken pot pie had a flaky pastry top which had a nice mild flavor.
Wish the pie had side and bottom crust but that is kinda hard to find in restaurants now. I loved the flavors from the filling which had carrots, potatoes, cream sauce, and a mix of white and dark meat chicken. Most of the pies I’ve tried only have white meat so the addition of dark meat was a pleasant surprise. 🙂
I’ll have to return and try more menu items as I really loved their take on chicken pot pie.
