Turkey Sloppy Joes / Maggie’s Creations

We love Sloppy Joes and this one is especially good with ground turkey! Note: I’ve also made this with fresh turkey leftovers from the bird. Just shred the turkey and combine with remaining ingredients.

If you prefer to use ground beef that is yummy as well. Hope you enjoy my recipe!

1 tablespoon butter

1 large sweet onion chopped

2 bell peppers chopped (one orange one yellow or whatever color you prefer)

8-10 cloves of garlic finely minced

2 pounds ground turkey (or fresh turkey shredded)

16 ounces of tomato sauce

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

salt and pepper to taste

Hawaiian sweet rolls

Garlic
Chopped onion and minced garlic

Yellow and orange bell pepper

Sautéed onion, garlic and peppers.

In a large pan over medium high heat, sauté the onion, garlic and pepper in the butter for 5 minutes or until soft.

Finished cooking!

Then add turkey and cook until lightly browned. Add the remaining ingredients and cook until well combined. Serve immediately on fresh rolls.
