I was looking forward to tacos for lunch and pressed to button to open the garage door.  Horrible noise was coming from the garage door opener and the garage door was not opening.  It appeared the garage door opener had broken so I went on Yelp to search for companies to fix the problem.  After messaging a job request to 3 companies Precise Garage Doors Services was the first to respond so I gave them my address and a technician arrived in an hour.

Technician diagnosed the problem in minutes.  The rain and the cold weather caused the frame of the garage door opening to swell keeping the door from opening.  He hammered back the swollen part and adjusted the opener.

He noticed the was still a lot of vibration from the opening so he added a piece of metal for support and it’s much more rigid now.  Opener operates quieter now than when brand new.  I was impressed it only took him about 20 minutes to complete his mission and drive off into the night.  Only thing that didn’t impress me was the bill for $159.
