Greek Chicken – Winter Gardens
Gold sparkles before me. Bright like the sun. Scent of fried fish teases me. Thin tempura batter crunches in my mouth. Contrasts with the juicy fresh Alaskan cod. Flavors remind me of the fish and chips I get at the Del Mar Fair every year. Batter provides just enough saltiness to liven up the mild flavor from the cod. Fries had a crunchy outside and a creamy potato flavored inside. Excellent traditional fish and chips.

Back Home in Lahaina
Air was a mix of fresh sea breeze and earthy scent of an ancient forest. Summer’s heat was stifling but there was cool shade beneath the big banyan tree in Lahaina’s Banyan Tree Park. It was an amazing tree with 16 trunks and the canopy covered most of the park providing shade and home for small birds. My kid and my girlfriend’s kid ran around like kids do and climbed on things and explored the area. Years have past and the kids do less running and climbing but I still remember when they did under the banyan tree in Lahaina. Since my first visit to Maui I have eaten at many Hawaiian places…

Sababa Kitchen Mediterranean Cuisine & Hospitality
Wow! Just need to say these folks really know how to knock it out of the park! They are perfect on every front and accomplish use of the 3P’s; People, Process and Product. Upon entering we were energetically welcomed and introduced to this idyllic restaurant. The nice ladies and gentleman behind the counter answered my many questions about the food and had excellent suggestions. Such exquisite food freshness mixed with divine culinary skills, lead my palate on a heavenly food tasting evening. Dare I say, I enjoyed everything I tasted immensely and I’m so looking forward to dining here again and again.

First liquid is poured onto sub freezing metal. You can see the liquid turn solid as it freezes. Next the frozen liquid is scraped off into an ice cream roll.

Williamson Produce
Sweet scent of strawberries fills the air. Luscious red berries so juicy and full of sweetness. It’s that time of the year. Strawberries are in season. The Williamson Produce stand is my fav spot in town to get fresh strawberries.

Angelo’s Burgers
Who can resist this huge statue of a slightly balding, smiling gentleman holding a cheeseburger and a frosty cold one? He reminds me a bit of the old Bob’s Big Boy statue’s that seemed to be almost everywhere you went in the 70’s and 80’s. He too was holding a cheeseburger.

Over the years I have been obsessed with having the best. I have travelled around town looking for that perfect hot + juicy fried chicken with that perfect blend of spices, pan fried noodles with crunchy noodles, delicious gravy + char sui, artisan ice cream with delicious flavors and a sweet base. I built my own computers as most of your store bought computers have cheap parts limiting their performance and usefulness. This is the story about the coolest cup.

Sababa Kitchen
A year ago hot sun blazed down on the dirt and plants here. At night the stars and the moon provided glimmers of light. Now neon signs and parking lot lights duel with the moon over who is brightest. Sababa is new and shiny like this mall. The last time I visited only Sprouts was open and the parking lot mostly empty.
