I’ve been lacking a go to place to eat trout since my mom died. She made a delicious steamed trout with ginger. I’ve only found grilled trout until I looked at King’s Fish House. They have amandine trout. Sounds interesting but I opted to try the grilled trout.

Valencia’s Crem De La Crem
After a day trip to Julian to get fresh apple pie we drive through Julian on the way home. One day we stopped at Valencia’s Crem De La Crem. Building appears weathered by the years. Inside was clean and colorful. The lone employee was friendly and told me their ice cream was made in the back.

I was sad when Chef Bent’s bbq closed. Now he has his own place in La Mesa. Parking is metered so you may get lucky or not.

Golden Apple Restaurant and Bakery
I love visiting Julian. In the fall you can see the leaves changing color. Lots of trees in this little mountain town. Apple pie is one of the things Julian is best known for and I have been trying all the bakeries.
Koi Palace
We were staying in San Bruno and looking for awesome Chinese food. My co-worker Allisa suggested Koi Palace in Daly City. Most of the time I eat Chinese food at hole in the wall type places.
