King’s Fish House

I’ve been lacking a go to place to eat trout since my mom died.  She made a delicious steamed trout with ginger.  I’ve only found grilled trout until I looked at King’s Fish House.  They have amandine trout.  Sounds interesting but I opted to try the grilled trout.

Fries were thin and crunchy.  I liked the potato flavor.

Grilled zucchini was soft and had a delicious flavor from the black pepper and the grill.

Trout had crispy skin and a bold trout flavor.  It was fresh from an Idaho farm.  It was seasoned minimally just the way I like it.  Inflation is hitting hard as the trout was $26.  Flavor was better than Seasons 52 and similar to Red Lobster.

Sourdough bread had a bit of crunch to the crust while the inside was fluffy and went down smooth.  Loved the sourdough flavor.

2nd visit.

Fries were crispy and had a delicious fried potato flavor.  They used fresh good quality oil here.

Grilled zucchini had a nice char from the grill and I loved the flavor from the olive oil and minute amounts of salt and pepper.

Chilean seabass has a thin crispy layer from the grill and the inside was tender, flaky, and juicy.  Loved the light seabass flavor.  Very good quality fish.

Complimentary soda water with a slice of lemon was bubbly and refreshing with a light lemon flavor.

3rd visit I tried the swordfish.

Swordfish was firm and full of swordfish flavor.  So far my favorite swordfish dish is at Ember and Rye.

4th visit I tried the fish and chips.

Fish and chips were made with cod.  Tempura batter had a light crunch and added a salty flavor to the mild flavored cod.  Cod was fresh and had a flaky texture.  Very tasty.

I’ve visited King’s Fish House a bunch of times and each time I was impressed by the quality of the fish.  Each fish was fresh and expertly prepared to bring out the flavor of the fish.  King’s is a great place to go if you are interested in fresh fish.
