Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory

Scent of fresh fortune cookies wafts into the alley.  Nothing in the world like it.  I step inside and the scent is stronger.

So many different types of cookies to choose from.  I get a couple bags of flat ones, regular ones, and almond cookies.  I watch in wonder as the cookie machine makes flat ones then Chinese ladies grab them, put fortunes in them, and fold them.  Wish I had one of those machines…  As I pay the owner slips some fresh flat ones into my bag.  I step outside and eat them before they cool down.  Fortune cookies taste incredible right out of the machine.  Crunchy and full of delicious flavor.  I hurry and pack the rest of my cookies in tupperware.  They are good for about a month sealed in tupperware.

Flavor is much better than cookies I’ve tried in grocery stores.

Place has changed.  15 years ago nobody knew where this place was and I had a hard time finding it.  Now there is often a long line of people as tour groups stop here regularly and I suspect it has been featured on some Food Network show…

I like to take photos of beautiful things like rain falling into puddles. Photos were mostly taken on a Fuji XE-2. Starting 9.9.2016 most photos are taken on a Fuji XT-2. Subsequent photos were taken with an Iphone 13 Pro and an Iphone 15 Pro Max.
