I was excited to see oxtails on the menu at Brown’s Bbq. Sadly they didn’t have any when I visited. I asked the owner and found out he only makes oxtail when enough people have requested it and there is an oxtail event.
Bbq ribs were very tender. Covered in sauce there was a smoky flavor, tons of sweetness, and a bit of tangy flavor. Pretty good after I scraped off the excess sauce. My favorite ribs are smoked with just dry rub.
Fried catfish was coated in corn meal batter. Crunchy batter contrasted the tender flaky catfish. Loved the flavor.
Fries were crispy on the outside and had a delicious potato flavor enhanced by the seasoning.
Staff was nice and provided good service. So far the fried catfish is my favorite dish here.

Seems like a nice selection of beef and fish bbq. Palm Spring tends to be a bit of a food dessert (no pun intended) so this is a great option to have on the list for when I’m visiting!
This is a great place to eat if you aren’t interested in the expensive steak houses in Palm Springs.
