Elite Week @ Jimmy’s of Santee
I visited Jimmy’s years ago. The fried chicken was good. Now it’s like this place was featured on Restaurant Impossible.
Looks like the inside was gutted and an interior designer modernized it. Love the new look.
Yelp and Jimmy’s invited us to try an appetizer and dinner entree.
Fried zucchini chips were coated and fried. Fried batter had a nice salty flavor which enhanced the flavor of the juicy zucchini. Very tasty.
Cattleman’s size ribeye steak was ordered medium well and was cooked perfectly. Loved the flavor. Reminds me of Black Angus ribeye steak. Steak was thin cut so next time I’d order it medium.
Fries were crunchy and I liked the flavor.
Waitress kept the free soda water flowing. Excellent service here. Thanks to Yelp CM Hannah and Jimmy’s for the invite.
Jimmy’s looks amazing inside and the food was delicious. I first learned about Jimmy’s from Cathy on mmm-yoso!!!

What a great deal! Fried zucchini chips have become one of my favorite sides whenever I see them available on a menu.

Mr. Fish & Chips in San Diego. I also have a review coming up for a place in Rhode Island where they were excellent – very light and fragrant.

The Broasted chicken is what is unique here, Soo. We haven’t tried any appetizers yet- so fancy for Jimmy’s. The interior redesign is amazing; happy they kept the menu the same.
