I had a warm feeling inside as I was walking towards Rudy’s and noticed a big pile of oak logs outside.
I love wood smoked meat.
I ordered 3/4lb of baby back ribs and half a pound of moist beef brisket.
Brisket was melt in your mouth tender with a good amount of fat to make for really moist beef. Smoky aroma and flavor was imparted from being smoked with oak. Dry rub and smoke combined to add delicious flavors to the brisket.
Baby back ribs were tender and rubbed with peppercorns.
Loved the mix of flavors from being smoked with oak and the peppercorns.
Rice Krispie treat was full of sweet marshmallows and crunchy Rice Krispie’s. Delicious.
Staff was friendly offering samples and advice.
Line moved quickly.
Good selection of bottled soda on ice and there was a soda fountain.
We stopped at Rudy’s as we were driving home from Pinetop, Arizona. Sadly our 2019 Christmas road trip to Pinetop Arizona was ending. I plan on trying more of Rudy’s tasty meats next time I’m in Arizona.
Loved the turkey and the sweet tea! Looking forward to visiting again!
