Original Tommy’s World Famous Hamburgers

Tommy’s is bright and looks kinda like In N Out.

I tried a double hamburger with bacon.  Bun was fresh and toasted.  Lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp.  2 beef patties were thin and well done with a beefy flavor.  Bacon was crunchy and had a savory flavor.  Overall the burger was solid.  Just like other fast food burgers I’ve tried.
Soft serve cone featured vanilla soft serve which was sweet and had a nice vanilla flavor.  The cone was fine.  Dairy Queen is my fav spot for this treat.
Tommy’s is a good value and the staff was nice and efficient.  I read this place is closing March 14 so hurry in if you are interested.
Kirk of mmm-yoso!!! has visited too.

  1. That’s sad they are closing soon.

    1. Yes I have driven by that place so many times.

  2. Sad to see them go, but for some reason the SD location was never quite as good as the locations we used to go to when we lived in LA. Thanks for the link!

    1. You are welcome! Bummer the food was different from the LA restaurants.

  3. Ah Tommy’s. I’ve never been to the San Diego one but the ones in LA were a nice little treat when I was a poor, starving college student!

    1. It’s great they kept their prices low.
