Louisiana Purchase

I love fried catfish and was excited to try Louisiana Purchase.

Place is popular and there was a line to get in when it opened on Sunday.
I ordered the lemon pepper catfish with cajun fries.  At $33 this is the most expensive fried catfish I’ve had.  Cornmeal batter was crunchy full of lemon flavor.  Catfish was tender, flaky, and moist.  Delicious dish as long as you love lots of lemon flavor with your catfish.  Cajun fries were crispy on the outside and had a nice fried potato flavor.
Complimentary sparkling water was pure refreshment.
Servers were very friendly and efficient.  Excellent southern hospitality here.
While the food and the experience was excellent Louisiana Purchase isn’t going on the regular rotation as the price is more than I usually spend on lunch.  I had this same dish at Louisiana Charlies for $21.  You get 2 filets instead the one at Louisiana Purchase.

  1. Wow that is expensive! The marshmallow sweet potato cup looks yummy.

    1. It’s the highest price I’ve seen for fried catfish.

  2. Lunch is the new dinner! High-quality ingredients but yeah that would be a special treat-type place for me considering the prices.
