BJ’s Restaurant

Gather around the campfire for I have a Halloween tale to tell.  In this season of ghost and goblins there is legend of a drink to celebrate the midnight hour.  I was there a year ago when Maggie drank 2 glasses of BJ’s pumpkin ale.  The drink is rare as unicorns.  We had visited after a note was beamed to us through the ether of this amazing liquid and were disappointed when we arrived to find the cupboards empty.  It required a 2nd visit to achieve success.

For 2022 I had a plan to acquire some pumpkin ale.  I phoned in before I was ready to go out for lunch.  Girl at BJ’s confirmed they had pumpkin ale.  We promptly drove over to our neighborhood BJ’s and ordered a pumpkin ale.  Alas our waitress said the keg was empty.  I told her I had just called and a BJ employee stated there was pumpkin ale to be had.  Waitress informed us that she had taken the call and did not check the keg for pumpkin ale.  She then stated ogres drank the last pumpkin ale before we arrived.  We could have had pumpkin ale had we used a magic incantation to arrive moments after I called.

My disappointment left a bitter taste in my mouth I washed away with soda water.

I ordered a Philly steak sandwich.

Beef was tender and had a nice flavor which was complemented by the savory flavored bacon I added.  Great tasting sandwich but pricey at $20 after tax and tip.  Fries were crispy and I liked the fried potato flavor.

Thus ends my tale.  Maybe you will have better luck finding the elusive pumpkin ale.

The truth is out there.
