I remember Mira Mesa when Mira Mesa Blvd ended at Parkdale. I explored the wilderness past Parkdale on my bike with rarely a person out in the desolate landscape. It was quiet back then with hardly any traffic. The movie theatre was a 4 plex in Mira Mesa mall. I remember a dirt lot where in 2022 Golden Chopstick would open in Mira Mesa. In early 2022 a sign announced Golden Chopsticks would be opening soon.  I have been waiting all year for Golden Chopsticks to open.  The original location has delicious food but terrible parking.  The Mira Mesa location has lots of free parking.
