Nico’s Mexican Food

Driving up I noticed Nico’s has a good sized parking lot.

Inside there is a big menu board.

Friendly staff took my order and the cook cranked it out quickly.

Carnitas taco came with double corn tortillas which were soft and had a mild corn flavor.  Carnitas had a crispy outer layer and a delicious fried pork flavor.

Shredded beef taco had a crunchy corn tortilla and lots of tender shredded beef.  Loved the fried flavor.

Beef rolled tacos had a crunchy outer layer with a fried corn tortilla flavor.  Small amount of beef inside with a mild flavor.  I would have liked a higher meat to tortilla ratio and the meat marinated.  El Indio is my fav spot for rolled tacos.
Adobada taco had lots of well marinated pork.  Loved the savory flavor.  Excellent meat to tortilla ratio.  This is my favorite taco here.

I loved all the tacos I’ve tried except for the rolled tacos.  Nico’s reminds me of the berto’s taco shops I visited in my college days but the food is better at Nico’s.
Kirk of mmm-yoso!!! suggested I try Nico’s.  Thanks Kirk!

  1. Another oldie but a good. I used to enjoy the tacos here and go over to JV’s for the enchiladas. Sometimes my coworkers would take scooters down to the area to avoid losing their parking spots on the way back.

    1. Smart. Not enough parking spots at work? There were usually a few free spots in our buildings parking lot after lunch.

  2. Love the artwork on the front facade and menu. I’ll have to try out their enchiladas.

    1. Nico’s is nicely decorated. 🙂
