bb.q Chicken

I called in my order and was quoted it would be ready in 30 minutes.

It actually took about 20 minutes.

Loved the scent of chicken fried in olive oil.  B.B.Q Chicken was the first place I had Korean fried chicken.  It was delicious and I was sad when they closed.

Now they have returned in a new location on Convoy St.

Original Golden Batter was crunchy and full of delicious flavor and a tiny bit of heat.

Chicken was hot and juicy.  I picked the medium size whole chicken which was wings and drumsticks.  Chicken was much like I remember.  I’ll be back whenever I’m craving delicious Korean fried chicken.

  2. Looking at the chicken is making me hungry!

    1. You should get some!

  3. I think they’ve adjusted their recipe a bit Soo. The chicken I’ve had here tastes different than the earlier versions.

  4. What differences did you notice Kirk?

  5. Sounds like they’ve planted their flag right in the middle of Korean chicken central – lots of competition in that area. Have prices gone up as a result?

    1. The prices are bb.q chicken have gone up since I visited like 10 years ago. I haven’t checked the prices of the other fried chicken spots.

  6. The chicken no longer has that “fishy” finish, so perhaps they are using better quality birds or have worked on the “olive oil” frying technique Soo.

  7. Sounds like an improvement. Thanks for the info! I didn’t remember the fishy finish.
