Kiko’s Place Seafood

I noticed Kiko’s food truck when I visited Pacific Beach.  There was just one parking spot when I visited for a late lunch.  I ordered a steak taco and a fish taco.  Tacos came with 2 corn tortillas.  I liked the mild corn flavor.
Grilled fish taco was overflowing with fish.  Loved the high fish to tortilla ratio.  Texture of the white fish was similar to cod.  Similar mild flavor enhanced with just the right amount of seasoning.
Angus beef taco had lots of tender steak and I loved the flavor.

The guy that took my order was nice and he double checked to make sure I wanted it with just meat.  🙂
2nd visit I ordered a grilled shrimp taco and a smoked marlin taco.  Shrimp taco was filled with tender shrimp which had a nice snap.  Shrimp was lightly marinated and I liked the flavor.  The marlin taco had a spicy sauce on it even though I asked for it plain.  Maggie liked it after rinsing the sauce off.
Kiko’s makes some pretty tasty tacos.  There are few parking spots in the lot and sometimes on the street.

  1. They do have good tasting taco’s!

  2. You seemed to like the marlin taco.

  3. You’re not kidding about lots of fish! Lots of places hide the fish underneath five pounds of cabbage, tomatoes, etc. so it’s harder to see the crumb-sized piece of fish they give you.

    1. I prefer Kiko’s to Rubio’s as Rubio’s doesn’t give you enough meat/fish.
