March is the renewal month for my 2006 Honda Civic hybrid. This year DMV required a star smog certification.
This place is super close to where I live and has convenient hours. When I called to make an appointment they said it was unnecessary. I arrived late afternoon to find just one vehicle ahead of me.
Kevin told me it would be about 45 minutes after checking me in and asking for my DMV paperwork and drivers license. Overall I think it was a bit quicker than he anticipated.
I was super happy my car passed the smog certification since I was worried it would not. It’s getting old in car years. They do pass along your completed smog certification to the DMV for you so then all you have to do is pay your registration fees.
