I checked the hours for Insomnia Cookies. They are open till 3am.
I never needed fresh based cookie at 3am but then I never lived in Pacific Beach.
Noticed they have Thrifty’s Ice Cream here including my favorite flavor Circus Animal Cookie. I bought a 3 gallon tub from Thrifty’s once. That took a while to finish with my kid helping.
On 4.20.2020 Insomnia Cookies was running a half dozen cookies for $4.20 promotion so I picked out a half dozen to try.
Snickerdoodle cookie was soft with melt in your mouth goodness. Flavor had a sugar cookie base with a mild cinnamon flavor. Loved the fresh out of the oven flavors.
Peanut butter cookie was soft and flaky. Strong peanut butter flavor. Better keep a glass of water nearby as this cookie is like a sugar bomb. Too sugary for me.
Oatmeal raisin cookie had just the right ratio of raisins to oatmeal. Loved the sweetness of the raisins but there were not that many that it was too sweet.
M & M cookie had just the right ratio of M & M’s to cookie. Good amount of sweetness but not too sweet. Loved this cookie.
Sugar cookie was soft with a nice dough flavor. Mild sweet flavor. Very good.
White chocolate macadamia nut cookie had a delicious mix of nutty and sweet flavors. I particularly loved the white chocolate and coconut.
If you are in the Pacific Beach area or can’t sleep Insomnia Cookies bakes some great tasting cookies!
