Conservatory of Flowers / 100 John F. Kennedy Dr. San Francisco, CA 94118

October 2019

This place is truly a diamond in the ruff.

Strolling leisurely on the inside, unique beauty captures your attention from every direction. I feel honored having this opportunity to view such rare plants that I would not get to see otherwise.

An official landmark built in 1879 and the oldest wood and glass structure in North America. The Conservatory hosts a variety of rare and unusual flowers, foliage and plants from around the world. Five galleries each focus on highlighting a different ecosystem.

My camera desperately tried to capture each specimen accurately. One hundred seventy one pictures to be exact. So many to view we just ended up sitting on a bench inside to take it all in. A lovely afternoon with Mari. The only thing that could have improved upon the day is a napping area next to the blooming lily pads. I just know Mari would have loved it.

If I decide to do numerous parts to this post it’s just to include the sheer volume of pictures. It would be a shame not to share them all. Enjoy!
